Chen builds the Hadoop system for the lab. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, and MS, BS from Tsinghua University in China. He completed his Postdoc at IBM Research - Haifa in Israel in 2014. His research in information system and applications focuses on the application-driven problems such as Social Networks, IoTs, Blockchains and Big Data dissemination.
