Development of technology-assisted psychotherapy for depression among adults with disabilities applying user-centered design.

This collaborative project between Dr. Xiaoling Xiang, Assistant professor at the University of Michigan, and Dr. Jia Xue, Assistant Professor and the lead of the AIJ lab at the University of Toronto aims to develop a technology-assisted psychotherapy program for depression and anxiety tailored for adults with chronic health problems and mobility challenges. The development of the novel intervention applies a user-centered design to create a highly usable and accessible web-based treatment program for the target population. This project utilizes instructional design, UX design, web design, web development, logo design, prototyping, character animation, video editing, and playwriting.
