Bio:

Yiwen came to Toronto in 2011 to study at the University of Toronto for a Bachelor of Science degree. During her undergraduate studies, she specialized in mathematical applications in economics and finance. Also, she got an actuarial science major and a statistics minor. After she graduated in 2016, she worked in Scotiabank and RBC respectively. In 2018, she went back to the U of T for pursuing a Master of Information degree with double concentrations in human-centred data science and information systems & design, then she graduated in 2020.

Currently, she is working in Nasdaq as a Data Operations Engineer. She is a specialist of developing automated, large-scale data pipelines to support the delivery of reporting, dashboards, machine learning models, and etc. She have solid knowledge and hands on experience of using end-to-end data extract, transform and load (ETL) process to provide the most suitable datasets for downstream uses. She is a philomath, she enjoy learning new facts and acquiring new knowledge. Yiwen is always proactively looking for better solutions and new ideas.
